REVISITING THE 1947 FOREST FIRES 70 YEARS LATER​

On Tuesday, October 10th at 2 pm at the Grange, Kent Nelson, Fire Prevention Specialist for the Maine Forest Rangers, will show a video of the 1947 forest fires which includes newsreels of that period. He will also explain what has been done since then to prevent such a disaster happening again.

Established in 2008, the Sidney Historical Society maintains a research center and museum in the basement of the old Grange Hall, located on Middle Road next to the Sidney Town Office. We are open every Tuesday from 1-4. Come visit us!
